The State of Idaho and Boise State University have issued an order to cancel or ban gatherings over 50 people until April 15, 2020.

BANDSTAND will not perform as scheduled April 3-5, 2020.

We are working diligently with the show’s producers to reschedule the upcoming performances of BANDSTAND originally scheduled for April 3-5. Please hold on to your tickets while we work on new dates for BANDSTAND in Boise. We will be in touch as soon as possible with an update on the status of this show. Please rest assured, if we are unable to find a new date for BANDSTAND and must cancel this engagement, ticket holders will be notified and offered credits, exchanges and refunds. We will notify you via email and will also post any updates on our website and on our social media channels.

We will continue to update you with more details on the rescheduled show as information is available. For more information about COVID-19 (Coronavirus) please visit NationalIdaho, and Boise State University Resources.

Our staff is working remotely at the time, so if you have any questions please email mccservice@boisestate.edu.

Thank you for your support and patience as we continue to navigate this unprecedented situation. In uncertain times, it is art that we turn to for escapism, joy, and comfort. We are looking forward to welcoming you back into the theatre in the very near future. When that day arrives, and this intermission comes to an end, the thrill that live theatre brings will feel more special than ever before.

Thank you for your patience and support!"

Overview

THEY CAME HOME TO A NEW AMERICA.

THEY MADE THE MUSIC THAT INSPIRED THE NATION.

From Andy Blankenbuehler, winner of the 2017 Tony Award® for Best Choreography and the 2016 Tony Award for Hamilton, comes BANDSTAND—the new musical that explodes with the most high-octane, heart-stopping and best dancing on stage today.

1945. As America’s soldiers come home to ticker-tape parades and overjoyed families, Private First Class Donny Novitski, singer and songwriter, returns to rebuild his life with only the shirt on his back and a dream in his heart.

When NBC announces a national competition to find the nation’s next great musical superstars, inspiration strikes! Donny joins forces with a motley group of fellow veterans, each an astonishing musician. Together, they form a band unlike any the nation has ever seen. Along the way, they discover the power of music to face the impossible, find their voice and finally feel like they have a place to call home.
